Our first fight :(

I had my first fight with my new DVR last night. It let me down. I know this is lame, but one of my shows I watch every week (since it started like 3 weeks ago) is Big Brother. And last night DVR failed to record it. Why did this happen? I still have a sneaking suspicion that my hubby dearest turned it off, but he swears to me he didn't. Anyway......I just wanted to vent about my upsetness!! Also Kev and I played risk yesterday. Like 6 times. And he beat me EVERY SINGLE TIME!!! Losing just makes me want to play again because I am sure I can beat him the next time, but I never do. So if anyone has some awesome risk strategies they'd like to share with me, they are very very welcome. And unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it), that is all that is new in my very mundane life.

So I have a lot of down time at work and found this site that gives you money to take surveys and stuff. It's kinda lame and they send you tons of junk mail, so you should make a new email address, but try it. I seriously have done it for maybe 3 hours total and have like 65 bucks. It's not like you could make a job out of it or anything, but its some nice extra spending money.






Seriously, you should at least try it. And if you like it and refer people and they join, you can get bonuses.

AHHH! I am so akward!!

So...we are interviewing for the new receptionist since I got a promotion (yay!) and I have to greet the girls and talk to them and stuff. Man am I akward!!! I try to make conversation and I sound retarded, so then I don't really talk to them at all and I seem rude. I need to take some sort of class or something. That got me thinking, I am so antisocial. I sit at a desk for 8 hours a day, and then go home and sit at my house for the remainder. Besides my husband, I have very little human interaction. And to be perfectly honest, I kinda prefer it that way. Cause even with people I hang out with by choice, I am still akward. And I can never think of anything to talk about. It's usually because they're just my husband's friend's wives. I miss having REAL friends.

Valentine's Day

Can I just start by saying I LOVE MY HUSBAND! We just finished the house and now that we are making a mortgage payment we are incredibly poor. For this reason, we decided not to do gifts for valentine's day. It's kinda a lame holiday anyway. I was at Smith's for my lunch break and you should have seen all the guys running around trying to get something to make sure their wives didn't hate them for their lack of planning for valentines day. It is definitely a retailer holiday. Anyway.....we weren't gonna do gifts. Well I thought I would be all cute and make him a heart shaped cake with pink frosting in leiu of a gift. I am so sweet right? Wrong! I got home from work and he had the cutest dinner set up on the table with candles and place settings and a flower and chilled bottles of ....diet pepsi! And he was all dressed up in slacks and this shirt I love that he never wears. And the dinner was delicious!! It made me feel like such a lamo, but also so lucky because my husband is freaking wonderful.

Second best thing that happened to me on valentine's day........I got my promotion!!! I was getting sad cause it was looking like it was not gonna happen because since my boss talked to me about it a couple weeks ago she had not said anything else about it. Well, she came up to me yesterday and told me to post an ad for a new receptionist because she was moving me to the back. Yay! It means more money, more responsibility, and more opportunities! I am psyched. And I love my puppy.

It's finally finished!!!

The house is finally done!! Yay! We have been in for like 2 1/2 weeks now and it is awesome. We had a housewarming party last weekend and it was fun seeing people, but it was a looooong day. I feel a little secluded from the world all the way down in Springville with no other houses in our neighborhood yet, but I love it. I love my house, Kev is the best builder in the world, tell your friends!! I was gonna post pictures, but I can't figure out how. They are on myspace if you wanna see them.
